• Eligibility: Must meet the following criteria to apply: -Be a legal resident of Sonoma County for at least one year -Substandard living conditions: homes in poor condition -Rent burden: paying more than 40% of monthly income for rent -Overcrowding in current home: more than 2 people per bedroom Must meet the following criteria to be eligible: -Debt must not be excessive -Consistent payment history -Have no current liens or judgments -Have a minimum credit score of 640 -No bankruptcy within the last 4 years -Agree to provide 500 sweat equity hours -Be Sonoma County legal resident for at least 1 year -Monthly income sufficient to make mortgage payments -Must be legal US resident or have permanent residency status -Have an income that falls between 50%-80% of the area median income to qualify.
